Level 1 holsters hold the pistol in by the trigger guard with a positive click. This is adjustable by tightening or loosening the retention screws.

Level 2 holsters hold the pistol in by the trigger guard and also have a strap over the top of the pistol that must be moved to release the pistol.

Level 3 holsters hold the pistol in by the trigger guard, have a strap over the top of the pistol and have a removable cover over the thumb release for the strap. You must move the cover before the strap can be released.

No. A holster that is made to accommodate a tactical light can only be used with the light on the firearm. Without the light attached to the firearm, the holster will have no retention and will not be able to hold a firearm in place. Rotate the small secondary locking mechanism until it has cleared the main prongs of the Tek-Lok. Once cleared, pinch the two prongs together until they have passed their retention clips, then pull the Tek-Lok open.

First remove the Shim in the back of the attachment. This can be done with a flat head screwdriver. Slide the screwdriver under the center of the shim and then to either edge so that the piece pops out. Place the shim on its side, under the new position, with the teeth facing up and the grooves on the teeth facing the attachment. Roll the shim into the desired slots. Use pliers to make sure it is secure.
